Nervous, excited, somewhat stressed

I'm hoping participating in NaNoWriMo will give me a chance to do something that I love doing but never get a chance to! WRITE!

I don't expect this to be of any particular quality. I'm doing it to have fun, to play with some concepts, and see if I can develop myself through writing. If it is awful oh well there will be robot bears.

I also don't expect to reach the 50,000 word goal. I will be trying very hard to but with everything else going on in my life it might be difficult. I'm hoping to hit 25,000 as a personal goal. Anything beyond that I'll be amazingly happy with.

I'd love to explore some things with this project. I'd like to try my writing style as it applies to narrative fiction. I tend to do better with description pieces and adding in a narrative aspect to that will be a challenge. I'd love to play with characters especially trying to create some strong and round female characters and some males that play with gender expectations a bit. I'd also love to set up the society to be more progressive without necessarily straying from concepts like patriarchy and capitalism. I would also love to play with a combination of science fiction and fantasy. Robots + magic? Maybe. We'll see. I really have no idea where I'm going with it. I have the first two chapters kinda set up in my mind and after that who knows? It might end up a gritty and dark piece, it might be comedic, it might be a disgustingly sweet romance, and it might be all of those! That is the fun of it!

Please keep me moving through this! Since I'll be writing this and uploading nearly in real time this creates some great opportunities for feedback and suggestions. If you'd like to see a character go in one direction or for me to explore some different plot points please let me know!

I'm excited.
I'm nervous.
I'm stressed.

But damn this should be a good time.
